Fun Spring Activities

Friday, March 29, 2019 - 9:30am

With the weather making a switch to spring, it’s time to start planning and thinking about getting to spend more time outside. Not sure what activities to do with your family and friends this year? Don’t worry; here are some fun spring activity options!

Make A Bird Feeder

What better spring craft to get the whole family involved than making a DIY bird feeder. You can try painting one from a craft store, or even (if you’re feeling extra crafty) build your own from scratch.

Get Gardening

Now is the time to start planting flowers in the yard. Your little ones will love getting messy in the soil and being on watering duty. This is also a great activity to do with friends, older siblings, parents… who knows, it might be the start of a great relationship or the start of repairing one that has distanced.

If you aren’t ready to commit to maintaining a garden of your own, take loved ones to check out a conservation area or greenhouse. It will be fun to explore and the family will love learning something new every step of the way -- it’s a win-win!

Get Outside

It’s simple; get outside! Spring is a time where the weather starts to warm up and we can go outside without a big winter coat on. Get some fresh in more ways than one this year. Try going on a hike, bike ride, camping trip, walk your dog, and/or go to the zoo. Try to stay quiet and listen to all the sounds around you and perhaps you’ll spot some wildlife up close.

Take this change of seasons and make the most of it. Rekindle and repair old relationships and friendships or make new ones. The Center for Dispute Settlement is here to help, give us a call today!
