Status: Full Time - Non-exempt
Pay rate: $19-24 hr. depending on experience
General Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this job is to support the implementation of Restorative Practices and Restorative Justice (RP/RJ) programming.
Specifics of Duties:
Coordinates RP/RJ services for partner schools, agencies and the community, including but not limited to training and technical support;
Designs, develops and implements training, coaching, and technical assistance activities to support restorative school climate;
Acts as a primary resource for Community Mediation Services AmeriCorps members in the execution of CMS programming;
Provides direct RP/RJ services including but not limited to Conflict Coaching, Circles and Conferencing;
Develops and maintains relationships with students, parents, and key personnel in schools or partner human service agencies;
Coordinates contractual programming by working with sponsor agency staff and CDS staff/contractors; serve as co-facilitator of services, as needed;
Assists in the preparation/submittal of monthly, quarterly and annual reports on RP/RJ programming;
Facilitates RP/RJ interventions as needed to respond to emerging community or agency need;
Serves as a Trainer for fee-for-service trainings as qualified and able;
Maintains CLM database information on all RP/RJ program participants and volunteers ensuring the quality of case files and records;
Supports community outreach, marketing, and public relations for RP/RJ services;
Attends and participates in Center for Dispute Settlement staff meetings, retreats and activities;
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Experience working and building relationships with schools and community human service agencies;
Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse populations;
Thorough knowledge of restorative practices implementation, conflict resolution, and training techniques;
Embodies principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB)
Must be flexible with hours during high and low work volume periods;
Must have the ability to conduct interviews and make assessments;
Must be able to simultaneously manage many tasks and projects;
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written required;
Good writing skills;
Must have excellent Computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel,
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to handle confidential information;
Availability to work periodic evenings and weekends;
Must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm.
Preferred:
Prior mediation experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized College or University with a Bachelor’s Degree, plus two (2) years working experience in restorative practices, or
Graduation from a recognized College or University with an Associate’s Degree plus three (3) years of experience in restorative practices;
Any equivalent combination of work experience and education sufficient to indicate ability to perform the job.
