Team Building Trends

As many know, the Center for Dispute Settlement strives to help build our community and help create peaceful conflict resolutions to help prevent the potential of violence by providing all the right resources to individuals and communities. Helping the local communities is just one part of our job. However, we like to take time to help build our staff as well. Team building is a huge part of creating a successful business! As we continue into the new year, companies should take advantage of these strategies for creating effective teams in the workplace. Here are some team building trends that will help your organization, and form in the long run stronger teams.

Using Technology

Nowadays technology is running our world whether we want it to or not. So, why not take advantage of it! Use different activity apps, fun, and engaging apps during team meetings, or even special apps that help increase communication amongst employees. Some forms of technology can help employees get ahead in their careers with specific training programs (webinars, phone conferences…). The technology field is just going to keep expanding, so now is a great time to get onboard!

Smaller Teams

Within the next year, you will start to see a trend with businesses having smaller teams. Many companies large and small have already taken action to this, for example, Amazon! This is not saying that having larger teams is a bad thing, but traditionally speaking larger teams tend to run into more obstacles that can slow down their efficiency. Who knows what the future will hold, but we can guarantee that smaller teams will help productivity and are great for team building.

Company Culture

Team building is focusing more on employee engagement, which is no surprise! The best way to encourage team building and employee engagement is by establishing a good company culture. Company culture is, “the personality of the company. It includes the values, ethics, goals, missions, and expectations of the company”.The business world is expected to lean more towards a modern company culture this year. Which means more team based, and it is highly encouraging of all kinds of participation. Take Google for example!

All notes aside, at the Center for Dispute Settlement, we try our best to incorporate these trends the best we can to not only help our company but the communities and people around us. Want to know more about what we do? Contact us today!
