Livingston County Intern: Clara

Maria Clara Farya is a double major in Sociology and Gender, Sexualities, and Women's Studies at SUNY Geneseo. As she approaches the end of her undergraduate program, she chose to intern at CDS to help navigate the next steps in her professional and educational journey. Maria Clara was initially drawn to the opportunity after Martha Chazanoff spoke about the position in one of her classes. She recognized the internship as a fitting way to elevate her education and experience while making a positive contribution to the community.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Maria Clara serves as the President of Sigma Gamma Phi at Geneseo. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, making music, and spending time with her friends and sorority sisters.

Monroe County Intern: Amanda Gonzalez

Amanda M. Gonzalez chose to intern at CDS because she loves the endless possibilities and the amazing atmosphere created by its caring and hardworking team. A fun fact about Amanda is that she loves helping others, cooking, and being a mom to her two beautiful babies.

She would also like to thank everyone at CDS for their warm welcome, their kindness, and for allowing her to be her authentic self.

Brockport Intern: Julia Ozminkowski

Julia Ozminkowski is a senior at SUNY Brockport studying criminal justice and political science.

She chose to intern at CDS because she felt very inspired by their mission and determination to help keep peace in the community. She appreciates that they provide a safe and comfortable environment for civil conflicts to be resolved in a healthy way for everyone involved.
